    Now that you have completed Chapter 5, take some time to reflect on what you learned.

Reflect and reply:

    This chapter focused on the following concepts:  Polynomial, rational, radical functions, and equations.  Modeling linear and quadratic functions and Max and Min word problems have been introduced. 

   1. When solving word problems, some students experience "word problem anxiety."  Do you feel the pointers presented in this lesson relieved some of this anxiety?  If so, how?  If not, why not?

   2.  Why do you think scientists, economists, statisticians, conservationists, etc. would use some form of data modeling in their field? In what ways might this be helpful?
